I am a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, father to 3 girls and a firefighter with the City of Boston.  I stumbled upon CrossFit during the summer of 2008 after years of traditional gym training – with minimum results.  I’ve been active my whole life, playing basketball and football in high school (Don Bosco, RIP) and football collegiately.  Entering my mid 40s, I am easily the healthiest I’ve ever been.  My passion is sharing what has so dramatically changed my life.

Prior to finding CrossFit you could find me running races from 5K to Marathons. I can honestly say that I never made it an entire running season without a knee, or hip issue. Was I over training? Absolutely not, rather it was quite the opposite. Thankfully in February of 2010, I finally gave CrossFit a try, and I’ve never looked back. Never in my life has my training been more consistent with gains being made daily. The passion that CrossFit has brought into my life in regards to functional fitness, and nutrition is something that I am equally passionate about sharing. I was born in Marlboro, MA but now reside in Boston where I am a Boston firefighter. I live with my wife Krissy, and my twin daughters Emily and Kaelie.

I found Crossfit in February 2011. After my first workout I was hooked.  Prior to Crossfit I was doing your typical body building routine with minimal results. I can honestly say adopting the Crossfit lifestyle and changes in nutrition, was one of the best decisions I ever made, as it has helped me get in the best shape of my life.  My passion is to share what helped me achieve my past goals and to continue to assist others as well as myself, achieve future goals.  When I am not coaching, you can find me at the Olde Colonial Café, where I am a cook at the best restaurant in Norwood, cooking up Paleo friendly items.

I began CrossFitting in 2011.  While I have always been competitive, CrossFit filled the void left when my competitive college hockey years ended.  The combination of the high intensity workouts and suggested dietary prescription helped me achieve the best shape of my life. I began helping others achieve the same success as a coach at Florian in 2012.

I am a 12 year veteran of the Harvard University Police Department and enjoy spending my spare time with my wife and two young daughters.

I started CrossFit in 2011 at Cynergy Crossfit in Hanson, MA. I have been a CrossFit Level 1 trainer since August of 2012, received my CrossFit Kids Certification in February of 2014 and my CrossFit Mobility Certification in March 2014. I have been teaching/coaching CrossFit since September of 2013

I was an avid softball player, playing competitively since age 12. I played college softball at Westfield State University where I studied Movement Science/Sports Medicine. I now coach softball at Walpole High School. I currently work for Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Patriot Place in Foxboro as a physical therapist assistant treating high level athletes, amputees, adults and pediatrics with orthopedic injuries, neurological and cardiopulmonary disease. I am currently continuing my education in Strength and Conditioning at Bridgewater State University.

My professional background allows me to have a unique approach to coaching involving recognizing movement dysfunction, correcting and promoting safe movement patterns to avoid athlete and injury and appropriate exercise progressions. I love integrating functional fitness into my practice, as well as education, awareness, and the benefits of CrossFit. In my spare time I like visiting Hawaii!

Born in Boston but raised in a hockey rink.  I’ve always looked for ways to improve myself physically on and off the ice.  In 2013, I broke the stereotypical Italian gym-rat image, and tried CrossFit.  It was love at first WOD.  Since then, I’ve been working to improve my weaknesses and become a well-rounded athlete.  As my focus shifted from a hockey player and a youth hockey coach to fitness, taking the Level-1 certification was a natural progression.  In my opinion, there is no better reward than seeing someone achieve their goals, or simply besting yesterday.
.
Since becoming functionally fit, I continue to pursue ways to test and challenge myself. I recently completed the HESCO Bone Frog Challenge and a GoRuck Tough Challenge.
.
Outside of the gym, you can find me enjoying time with my wife, Lisa, and 2 kids, Emily & Joe, crushing a tasty beverage, and eating “good” food.

I grew up playing competitive volleyball from the time I could walk through high school, and made the switch to rugby during my four years at the Coast Guard Academy. While serving in the Coast Guard I was getting bored of running and doing the same workout every day, when I was thankfully introduced to CrossFit. CrossFit fueled my competitive drive and became a constant challenge to learn new skills and improve in strength, speed, and endurance.
I had the honor of being the Forwards coach to the Coast Guard Academy Women’s Rugby team in 2016 which ended in a Conference Championship and 4th place Nationally in D2 rugby. That sparked my passion for helping others not only improve physically, but also fight through the mental roadblocks that can be the difference between success and failure.

I was introduced to Crossfit in May 2011. Before I started I was very skeptical on the whole “cult”.  My friend challenged me to go try a class and from then on I was hooked.  Since then, Crossfit has not only changed the way I workout but also the way I view fitness. Before Crossfit, I was an avid baseball player and ran 5k’s. Crossfit has also filled the void of competing.  I am stronger physically and mentally in my late 30’s than I was in my 20’s. When I am not training or coaching, I am working at UBS Financial, a husband to my wife Amanda and father of twins Christian and Ava, coach my son’s soccer team and doing things around my yard.  My goal and passion is to help people get stronger and healthier.

A Firefighter and EMT in Boston since 2002, Tone has his Crossfit Level 1 and an O2X certification. He played soccer, football and ran track for Wellesley High School and holds the 100m record in the state of Massachusetts. Tone’s love for sports has continued into adulthood. He’s a 5 time consecutive flag football champion with CCFL and a nominee for the Wellesley High School Sports Hall of Fame.
.
He found Crossfit in the Fall of 07’ after rehabbing from a fractured femur. He was looking for something that was a total body workout. He tried it, and was hooked. He started as a member of Crossfit New England. He moved to Crossfit Florian, and then coached for over 3 years at Crossfit Subdued. He really enjoys coaching and watching people grow and reach their goals.

Director of Florian Kids

I am a 12 year yoga practitioner of many different styles of yoga (for both adults and children). Sometimes when I tell people that I’m into CrossFit, I get a skeptical look, as though these were two paths that should never cross. I think they’re more like tributaries toward success. Since being hooked by CrossFit’s awesomeness a few years ago, I have become stronger mentally and physically, and am always looking for ways to improve. I love CrossFit because it prepares you for anything. It’s not just fitness, it’s a community. The people in our affiliate have become  family and it makes training fun!

I am also a mother of twin girls who keep me very active. Coaching the CrossFit kids program is so important because it teaches kids how to take care of themselves – now and in the future.
