Congratulations to everyone who stuck with the push up challenge. Well…. how are you feeling?

Push Press

5-5-5

10-12 reps @ 75% last 5 reps
add 2.5-5 lbs

EMOM-12 (every minute on the minute)

5 Hollow Rocks
5 Burpee box jumps

LBNC info:

Starts this Wednesday, Jan 4th
Cost $25
You must weigh in @ CFF by Jan 7th
Baseline WOD should be completed ASAP (no later than Jan 10th)
Wednesday’s WOD will be the “Baseline”
If you can’t make it in on Wednesday, you may sub Baseline for the workout of the day later in the week

Documentation is going to be vital to your success. We recommend you purchase a daily planner (like this) to log your WODs, sleep, diet and how your daily choices are transferring to performance, energy level and mood.

Announcements

1) Due to the popularity of the Saturday morning class, the ‘Beatdown will now be offered at 8:30 am and 9:30 am

2) We will be enforcing Florian’s drop in policy. ย Drop ins are for experienced Crossfitters only. Friends and family members wishing to learn more about CFF should be directed to our Intro Classes. ย They are held every Wed @ 10:30 and Sat @ 11. The reasoning is twofold – the newbie’s safety (we can’t give them the attention they require) and quality of instruction for CFF members (we would have one eye on the newbie at all times, when we should be Coaching you). Thank you for your understanding.

For the push up challenge I did push ups with my hands tight to my body at the nipple line. At the end of the challenge I was doing all my reps in one set and could feel the difference in my upper body. I will continue to knock out 30 reps randomly everyday. Also officially thirty days with no bread, rice, potatoes, increased my consumption of vegetables exponentially being that I just never ate any and aside from the few days that I went out drinking I have had nothing but water in the last 34 days. For my own personal thirty day challenge I’m going sober for the month of January.

Great classes today! Congrats to CW for getting his 1st 2 muscle ups today! Speaking of m/u’s, I’ve neglected mine and for whatever reason accepted a muscle up duel with Nigel “the muscle up ninja”. I failed miserably which was great because I thought I had them. Back to the drawing board with those!

CW. No reason for you not to get them in weekly. If you get in early, and there’s no strength that day hit it. Also, we’re not too concerned if you want to do something else other than our daily programming from time to time. ie, strength, or make up a wod you missed. As long as you remain clothed. Your goals are our goals!

thanks Bill. you’re right, weekly front squats will get me there. i just need to stay focused and keep my clothes on.
